Have you listened to Dear God - Avenged Sevenfold? I've never been a big fan of them but this song is something else. I stumbled upon this gem of a song a few months ago and I personally think it has very powerful lyrics if you miss someone dearly. You know, one of those songs which you listen to in the car and can make your mind wander off which will make you seemingly drive the car in auto-pilot mode haha.



Debate Nationals:
We've gone through to the semis! It's more of a relief honestly, since we're a new school (so new, that we didn't have a standard uniform until last week) and billed as the underdogs in what many assumed as the group of death with MD the defending champions, MS and SMSA the host school in our group. 

But our victory in our first match was a massive confidence-booster and although we lost our second match, we weren't going to make 400+ kms in two days and hours of missed lessons go down the drain just like that so we presented, in my opinion, our best performance for the last debate, got the win and earned ourselves a date with PTEM on the 28th :)

The ride back home was full of laughter :D

I'm absolutely glad that the week's coming to an end though. I've got nothing major in store for next week, thank god for that. But I still have the debate thingy majiggy to concentrate on. We've gone this far, so we might as well make the most of it *grins*

Fast Track

Yes Lina, I've lost my blogging mojo..but I'll try to gain it back =p

As you read this, I might be in a place where I haven't been in for a few weeks and dearly miss - my grandma's house - watching a football match with close relatives, a football match which I'm sure will be the focal point of many football fans in Brunei tonight. (Liverpool sucks)

Armed with a new haircut as of tonight, I can't help but feel excited and count every second till the short 10-day school break arrives. Haha I'm kidding. But I feel like I could really use a good break after a hectic fortnight or so thats worn me out mentally.



Nina and I have been doin' realllly goood =D We've been busy with school stuffs lately, but it's amazing how at the end of the day, we're able to lean onto each other, have a good night's sleep and still have time to go out a few times a week :) I love you!


Regarding the pictures of ISB BGIC VII's last day, ill post it up soon yea? It's already on my facebook anyway.

Yes I've run out of names for my post titles lol.


Nothing much is up. I've been spending the past couple of days being lazy at home. It actually feels good you know haha.


I went to my nini's weekly tahlil for the first time in a month last Saturday. It was nice to see them cousins and relatives again. I took some pictures but I think I'll just post them up in my family's blog, that is, if I'm motivated enough haha. We all went sakai with that space-age Monopoly game that uses credit cards! haha.

Jeng just called me a few minutes ago! He just came back from Brizzy via S'pore a few minutes ago. We were supposed to go out this evening but nyehhh it got postponed to tomorrow. And sorry dude I wasn't paying attention to what you were saying, I was busy gaming lol. Anyways, welcome back dude! I can't wait for the others to come back, reunion guys! *stares at Bianca* haha kidding :D

*OH SHITTTTT, NOO!!!*


To my horror, it was already 3.00 am! I didn't stay up for my 18th birthday countdown! hahaha how bloody sad is that. I had a few long days prior to my birthday so I just had to sleep after Maghrib and was pretty confident of waking up before 12. Taie kau suf. Anyways, being half-awake, I was only able to read a few sms birthday greetings and all of them were very close to the stroke of midnight. Then *boom* I went back to sleep. But of course I replied once I woke up in the morning =) Thanks guys :D



My maths teacher, Mr. Stephen, wanted to throw a mini birthday party for Qawi and I. So yeah I was obliged to come to school although I was really malas too.

I came to school rather late, 10ish and when I arrived it was really quiet (with everyone else being in the audi). So I had my own quiet moment, by walking along my 'everyday' corridor, the one next to the SA section. I proceeded to my locker, for the last time. Sad huh =pI proceeded to the audi, where everybody was at that time. You bet I came right on time! Right on time for the ceremony's conclusion! I walked in with relative anonymity until Fatin spotted me. After a few more birthday greetings from me friends, the weird feeling of turning 18 finally sunk in for me.

Hafiz&DaGang sang me a 'special' birthday song and although I recorded it plus an encore version of the song, I won't post it. I mean there are underaged people reading this blog. Thanks anyways guys =p

Thanks to the people in the audi, Riki&friends, GDL-ers who sang me a birthday song! You guys SUCK, in a good way lah hahaha. No seriously, I really was touched and taken aback.


 
Then I went off to LT12 where Mr. Stephen wanted to throw the party. And guess what, he got Qawi and I a mango-cheese cake. MANGO-CHEESE cake?! Seriously, is that even edible? If it wasn't my birthday, I would've been on my way to the restroom to puke hahaha. So I forced myself to gobble up a slice - a huge slice I must say - of that...thing. That was really nice of you sir. Thanks again Sir! We will miss your bubbly presence next year.


This was when I got my first present of the day and...to who ever you are, I know you're reading this blog, I thank you :)







 
I decided to go the library after cam-whoring in the LT12 to meet up with Wanna and the others. AJ stopped me on my tracks to give me her present. Thanks AJ for the present and the game! I found the game really sweet and unique :D When I came in the library, they sang me the birthday song again! haha I was bloody touched and surprised alright!



I hung out with Fatin, Ina, Amin, Qamarul and the computer people in the ICT lab while waiting to go home. Since their teacher wanted some time alone with her students, I went off with (i forgot siapa =p) to Haziq&hisgang's party. By this time, the birthday song was already stuck on my head and yeah you guessed it, they sang it to me again! but damn it was still very touching haha. Most of them were done eating by the time I came in, no wonder they were high. Oh well, I'll let the pictures do the talking then!








 
Since Wardah and Muh couldn't make it for dinner, I decided to bring them out in the afternoon :) pizza hut! Pandai si Wardah atu pick places, di luar mall lagi tu, on a rainy day. Sense the sarcasm there haha. I had a great time with both of you! And thank you for the birthday cake surprise, that was WICKED!

After both Wardah and Muh balik, I went off to meet Vern who was happily window-shopping. Since it was still quite early, we sat down and had a good chat, kan vern? haha. It was raining outside so we had to endure the rain while walking to RMS Diners. Si Vern jaga rambutnya. hahaha nadadeh. I eventually stayed in RMS Diners from 6.30-11!

We started eating at 8, cos apparently my friends live in places that have a huge time difference to Gadong. haha kidding guys :p

As promised, updates from last Saturday!


Malkan and I went off to Sweet Deli to help Arun pick up his girlfriend's birthday cake and boy, the streets were realllly jammed, especially when you consider that it was at 9-10 in the morning! It took me almost an hour to pick up the cake and buy all the spoons, forks, plastic plates, drinks blablabla.


And credits to the school canteen for being nice enough to store the birthday cake until lunch time! Makanan kamu nyaman! (this is a free promo for you guys so nada hutang lagi ah haha)


Anyways lets fast forward:

We went to McD soon after that

The day was superrr hot btw. Walking to and fro between MD and McD (whoa it rhymes lol) and the fact that I wasn't feeling well took a toll on me. I felt terrible, kinda like a cross in between the sensation of vomiting and passing out (labih tia) but nahh I think its one of those kind of high fevers you get once or twice a year. Hence, I was absent from school on monday =D not funny, I was suffering on my bed on that day.

At 2, Izzati 'sneaked into' MD. My dear, the way you entered the compound wasn't exactly JamesBond-like and although you tried to disguise yourself by wearing the MD uniform, I don't think you managed to prevent heads from turning! Nadawah, it's not really considered sneaking in you know, cause you're always welcomed back there =) Plus she actually did some of her homeworks, as she promised earlier. Amazing, I salute you! But in between, apa lagi =p:

Plans to re-allocate a big portion of MD students to the new campus in Katok have apparently been scrapped, according to what I've been told from reliable sources. So much for all the talk eh?=p
